Using 2 separate installed SC instances. Instance 1 for DOM with Denali data. I don't use Instance 1 as a server. Instance 2 for Charting with Denali data. I don't use Instance 2 as a client instance. When opening a new instance (file new instance) on Instance 2, there's a connecting issue. This new instance can't connect under instance 2. How to proceed to make this work, without using instance 1 as a server and instance 2 as a client instance? |

When using the command "File >> New Instance", the system is automatically going to make the new instance a "client" of the main instance. Refer to the information here: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Instructions For Sharing Data Using Sub Instances (Easiest And Recommended Method) If you do not want this to be the situation, then you would need to install a completely separate Sierra Chart. You are allowed to have multiple installations of Sierra Chart on the same computer, and you can have 3 different computers running Sierra Chart at the same time. But, due to exchange rules, the data from the Denali Exchange Data Feed can only be sent to 2 different installations on the same computer at the same time, and if you want to have the data sent to two different computers you have to pay the exchange fees twice. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Connections In order to install a second Sierra Chart, refer to the instructions here: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
