Hello. I currently trade through Tradovate. I subscribe to CME with market depth (for nonprofessionals). I also use Jigsaw. What setup do I need to integrate this with Sierra? Also, do I need to (should I) use Teton to send orders? Does Tradovate use CQG and is that not the best option? Thank you.

We certainly recommend using the Teton Order Routing Service, if you can. But this is not available with Tradovate. As you state, Tradovate uses CQG. If you want change brokers to use the Teton Order Routing Service, then refer to the information at Step #2 in the following instructions: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions And then you would follow through the rest of those instructions to get setup with the service and use our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Otherwise, if you are going to stay with Tradovate, then you would need to follow these instructions to connect to your CQG account: CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions We would still recommend using the Denali Exchange Data Feed with CQG. To setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed, refer to the instructions for the CME Group here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you for your assistance, John. I received the note below from Tradovate. Is there a setup that does not require purchasing a second set of market data? Also, I have read some comments on the message board that data/trading through CQG has certain limitations/issues. Is that accurate? How significant an issue is this, if at all, and does it limit one's ability to get the most out of Sierra? Just wondering if it is worth the hassle to go to another broker. Ideally, I would like to avoid having to set up a second brokerage account and pay for a second set of market data (i.e., avoid as many duplicative/unnecessary fees as possible). Thank you again! Below are the two options we can connect Sierra Chart for. Using Sierra Chart for Charting/Analysis only: Trading possible only via Tradovate -- NOT through Sierra Chart $15/month CQG connection fee required Requires a second set of market data Using Sierra Chart for TRADING: Trading possible via Sierra Chart only -- NOT through Tradovate $15/month CQG connection fee Requires a second set of market data $0.15/side ($0.30/RT) CQG order routing fee |

We do not know if there is an option that does not require a second set of data, as we do not know what the first data connection is doing in your case. We would recommend just using our Denali Exchange Data Feed for your data regardless of whether you are setup with CQG or if you change brokers and use the Teton Order Routing Service. Refer to the information at the following page, which also includes Setup Instructions: Denali Exchange Data Feed And we also recommend our Teton Order Routing Service as this will give you the optimum setup for Sierra Chart. Although it would require that you change your broker. Refer to the information here: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi Trader, Stage 5 Trading offers Tradeovate pricing as well as per contract pricing. If you have a membership with Tradeovate we can match that rate, deduct the membership pricing from your account, and provide the same clearing rates you currently receive. This is all available using Sierra Chart and Teton Order Routing! You would get this pricing without the need for a second data feed & you would not have a monthly CQG connection fee or $0.15 per contract transaction fee! Hopefully, this is the exact setup you are looking for only with price savings. If you have questions or would like to speak to an assigned personal broker for details, please call us at 1-312-896-9897 or 1-800-258-6675. You can email us at sierrachart@s5trading.com and can also contact us here: https://stage5trading.com/contact/ To ensure your pricing is what you are looking for, simply tell the Stage 5 Broker you would work with the Tradeovate pricing plan you are on and the broker will be more than happy to match it less the additional CQG costs! We are here and ready to assist. Our advice is to move to Teton order routing. We really do not want to support CQG. We do not want our users on CQG. We do not want to support tradeovate either. We may terminate support for tradeovate. All these questions are just not worth our time at all. We do not want to support CQG and we do not want to support tradeovate. Sierra Chart provides a full solution. You do not need to use jigsaw. And you do not need to use CQG. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point.
