Monitor crash/freeze after update newest version

Hi Guys,

After update newest version (again), my monitors either crash (all black) or freeze!!! AMD crash defender reports problems!!
I thought I could handle it when installing pre- version but problem keeps the same!! (Now running the newest version of SC)

I run SC since 2 years without problems - now since the newest update as mentioned above!!
I use Windows 10 pro and use RX550/550 series graphic cards and read some posts from other users who had similar or same problems - BUT didn´t find the solution!!
I also tried to update the latest graphics driver version - didn´t solve the problem!

Perhaps you could guide me what to do, bc I have this troubles since 2 weeks and is not funny anymore!!

We do not know what the cause of this is. And we have only heard of this issue from you.

We recommend disabling OpenGL:
Graphics Settings: Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics (Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other)

Are you using the OpenGL option?

After start SC this morning same problems!!

The OpenGL was already disabled!!

I found this on SC from 2017 - with similar problems: Problems after 1644 update

On my PC when starting SC my main instance keeps working while the other two gets freeze or black monitors (3 out of 6), other 3 monitors running!!
I always have to restart my pc 2 - 3 time til SC is running normal!!

Any other solutions?

Hi Guys,

tried again to start SC. Removed my sub- instances and other indicators but problem keeps the same!!!
After start - screens crash!!! OpenGL was already disabled!

When using Trading Technologies also with 3 instances - no problems!! All running perfectly!!

So all this happened after the update!!
My IT guys thinking it´s a windows software problem and need to re-install windows 10!!!

But if that´s the case, other programms should have similar impacts on the screens - or not?? (Only SC crashes the screens)

So before re-install windows10 (perhaps this also will not work out) - Do you have any other solutions or ideas??

Therefore you must have a problem with your system:

Sierra Chart simply cannot cause these kinds of problems when not using OpenGL and whether they can even happen with OpenGL is is very questionable.

This is not a Sierra Chart issue. That is 100% impossible and we know that with certainty if OpenGL is not being used.

And it does not help to make comparisons with other programs. You have a system problem.

We are 110% certain you have a problem with your system. Not Sierra Chart.
