I use a NQ chart for Data, and Trade the MNQ. If I switch charts from 500volume to 1000volume it adjusts my current netp/l based on mini contracts and not micro. This also happens if I turn off the micro trading and switch to trading minis, the p/l is for micros.

You have to ensure that the Currency Value per Tick is set appropriately for the instrument that you are trading. Refer to the information here: Chart Settings: Currency Value Per Tick (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) This value should not change when you change the timeframe of the chart. If it is, let us know the specific steps you are taking to make it change. The currency value per tick is correct and yet still the p/l indicates incorrectly when I change the timeframe of the chart. I am using volume charts, and change timeframe by typing the new volume input.

We checked this particular functionality to ensure that the Currency Value Per Tick is not changing when you change the chart timeframe, and, as expected, it is not changing. Therefore, there must be something else going on. Such as you are entering a trade from a different chart altogether that has a different Currency Value per Tick, or the trade window is not associated with the chart you think it is. Refer to the following regarding the Trade Window, as this is often where these kind of issues arise from: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Trade Window Settings Not Applying to Chart or Trading DOM For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
