Version 2347 (40792M) - although maybe also earlier versions. Chart specific 'Chart Update Interval in Millseconds' does not seem to be working correctly. I have higher time frame charts with VBP & Market Profile studies, these have update interval set between 5000 & 15000ms to help improve overall performance. This setting now seems to be being ignored as these charts are updated much more frequently i.e. many times per second. It also appears that the global 'Chart Update Interval in Millseconds' is being ignored, as there is no difference whether this is set to 250ms or 5000ms |

Would be doubtful there is a problem but we will check.

There must be something unusual going on in your case. This functionality has not changed and this is core stable functionality. We cannot reproduce any problem like this. Both Chart Update Intervals work as expected. Maybe the issue in your case has something to do with references between charts but that really should not alter the update speed. Make sure you are not using this option: General Settings Window: Use Controlled Order Chart Updating (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Charts) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. 'Use Controlled Order Chart Updating' was the cause - charts were updating at 250ms intervals regardless of chart update interval settings. Very strange, I don't remember enabling it and it's not something I have a use for. Anyway, order is now restored, performance is 100% again, DOMs are lightning fast and my chart replays are working significantly better too. Thank you so much, this issue has been bugging me for a while. |

Ok it has been a while since we have looked at the implementation of that setting. So not sure why you would have an update speed of 250 ms. We do not think that is hardcoded anywhere.
