I am trying to transfer files for a new pc. The data folder is 28gb. I am using quite a few range bar charts (2 days data) and I know they hold a lot of data. Can you offer any advice to lower the file size, is there a better way to transfer? Thanks |

I use NitroShare, https://nitroshare.net/ a cross-platform tool (Windows, Mac, Linux) if both of your old and new computers are on the same network, much easier than using a flash USB storage |

You don't really have to transfer all the .scid files (intraday charts data files). You can reload the data from your new PC. https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails15.html#TransferringSCSettingsAndDataToNewInstallation Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-01-20 19:33:17

Regarding post #1, what we recommend is what post #3 says, and do not transfer the Intraday data files.
