In the following, the issue is exemplified from the buy side. Issue: A buy order >= the ASK price is rejected as invalid (order entry or modification). After investigating with FXCM API support, we found out that FXCM supports range orders instead (i.e. a buy order with a maximum deviation of a given amount of ticks from a quoted price). Furthermore, the possible alternative to a limit buy >= ASK would be a buy stop limit order. This order type, however, is rejected by the FXCM FIX API as well. Question: Could you either implement range orders (as described in the FXCM FIX API implementation manual) of, even better, automatically convert a buy limit order >= ASK to the equivalent range order. It is currently quite inconvenient that one can not conveniently enter a safe maximum buy price in a volatile market. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-04-09 06:57:12

This is not something we are willing to get involved with. We can only work with standard order types. Not specialized types.
