SC Support, 1. "Sierra indicated they would like to have all end users (Broker’s, FCM’s, and traders) sign some authorization agreements" -What are these agreements? 2. How traders can make use of both the Teton auto liquidation, and in addition the FCM's existing loss limits? 3. How soon could all FCM's supporting Teton have the auto liquidation working? 4. How can Teton auto liquidation support profit management also? |

1. Here it is: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=SCAgreements 2. When using Teton, there would only be one loss limit and that would be provided by the Teton Order Routing Service. 3. They all have access to it now. 4. We plan to develop this but it is not yet available. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. [The Sierra Chart/Teton Order routing system can have incorrect position quantities for an account. Therefore, when auto liquidation is triggered, these incorrect positions would be closed. However, in effect new positions are created in the market for the trade account.] Under what circumstances could this happen on Teton? How long of a process is it for the other FCM's supporting Teton to set up the auto liquidation? |

Under what circumstances could this happen on Teton? The reason would be due to, the broker or clearing firm putting a trade in your account, outside of the Teton system. And then not doing the corresponding manual fill within Teton.

This could happen on any broker/trade desk executed fill, ie if trader lost connection. Since it's a new service, are all brokers/fcm's familiar with the process to do the manual fill? 2. Are there any pros/cons to how Teton auto liquidation works vs FCM's standard auto liquidation? 3. Could the auto liquidation be set up on Weekly and Monthly reset times for swing/overnight hold traders? |

How long of a process is it for the other FCM's supporting Teton to set up the auto liquidation? 1. Yes they do know how to do this. The documentation is here: Trade Account and Risk Management: Add Manual/Correcting Order Fill 2. We are not familiar with FCM auto liquidation. We will have someone comment on this for you. 3. For overnight positions the Open Positions profit/loss does not reset with Teton auto liquidation. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. [For overnight positions the Open Positions profit/loss does not reset with Teton auto liquidation.]
Could you elaborate on what this means exactly, with an example of how it would function if a position is held overnight? And how this compares to the other trade services in terms of holding overnight and tracking open position profit/loss? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-03-29 16:18:47

Regarding Question 2. I do not believe there are any specific FCM Auto-Liquidations per se. The settings are done at the server level, which can be set by the FCM or the Introducing Broker if they have admin capabilities. These settings are done through the order routing feed like Teton. Although we never want to see a trader trigger their auto-liquidation, in our opinion, Teton Auto-Liquidation has performed at a very high level and is one I would recommend taking advantage of. Please see some examples below of Teton Auto-Liquidation. Engineering, can you respond to post #56? Also, to clarify this question: "3. Could the auto liquidation be set up on Weekly and Monthly reset times for swing/overnight hold traders?" Teton auto liquidation supports a loss limit for intraday traders on a Daily reset timeframe, ie they are liquidated if the max loss for a day is hit. The next day trading can be re-enabled. Swing/position traders hold overnight over multiple days and may have a loss limit for the Week and/or Month instead of Day. Can you consider supporting a loss limit that would function for the Week and/or Month instead of Day for swing/position trading on Teton? This is seemingly unavailable elsewhere, further bringing a competitive advantage to the Teton service, and more importantly, greatly improving risk management for Traders on Teton. Are users able to add a Daily Stop Loss Limit to Teton? Or should the broker do this for them?
