For windows 7 based systems: I am using rithmic data & Sierracharts. What is a/the recommended anti-virus for these products? What AVs do the developers at Sierrachart use? There is no need to "bump" threads. I believe Microsoft maintains a list of compatible / recommended anti-virus programs to use with Windows 7, and that recommendations to install an anti-virus are presented by the OS if one is not already installed. For more support on this, you may wish to ask Microsoft. Generally, there is no "recommended anti-virus" for particular programs. It might be helpful to use a search engine to discover which anti-virus programs are in use by other Sierra Chart users and if there are any known issues e.g. https://www.google.com/search?q=anti+virus+site:sierrachart.com Questions about encryption are beyond the scope of the support here - you may wish to consult the vendor / developer of whatever cryptosystem you propose to use. Full disk encryption on modern hardware is unlikely to add noticeable latency for most use cases. |
