Hi,

I am plotting ES-MINI March 22 futures contract with Candlestick Bars

Tick size .25

Using Range Per Bar - Standard (in ticks), Settings to 8.

Yet many of my candlestick bars (including tail) are more than 2 points range?

Not sure how to fix this.

Footprint - works fine with this setting which is identical

Please help

Stephen

It is not possible that on the same chart the Numbers Bars are showing the correct range but the candlesticks are not.

Please get us an image of what you are seeing so we can understand better what is occurring. Refer to the following for how to take a screenshot:

What you are seeing is not correct. You have the Heikin-Ashi study on the chart, which is obscuring the actual High and Low for the bars and showing . If you hide the Heikin-Ashi study you will see the actual bars all have a correct range.

Refer to the following for the Heikin-Ashi study:
Heikin-Ashi

Hi,

I have chosen candlesticks in both chart setting and in studies for the ES-Mini? Where does it say I am using Heikin-Ashi?

So not sure what you're saying?

My footprint chart is displayed in another window it is not on the same chart.

I am not using Heikin-Ash. I am using Candlestick bars and in chart settings And Studies I am entering the following
information.

I am plotting ES-MINI March 22 futures contract with Candlestick Bars

Tick size .25

Using Range Per Bar - Standard (in ticks), Settings to 8.

The chart you gave us has a Heikin-Ashi study on it. Go to Analysis >> Studies and remove that Heikin-Ashi study.

Hi John,

There is a lot of confusion here.

I've made sure Analysis >> Studies that I NO Heikin-Ash study just candlestick bars with a 2 point range.

How can I grab the Analysis >> Studies settings in a screenshot to prove it to you?

You can get us another copy of your chart for us to look at. If you do not have that study, then your bars should be correct.

Hi John,

Strange I have deleted the graph and now I have a graph which is in range!

Thanks for your help, I'm just trying to get to grips with the software, so thank you for your time.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Stephen
