Application hangs when adding study collection button on control bar

Hi, I have tried it multiple times and have tried it in sim, simulated futures and live trading environment. I am trying to add study collection button to my control bar but as soon as i click the customize button (see attached) , the application freezes completely and only way to make it responsive is to close the app via task manager and relaunch it. Please advise |

Can you please get us your Sierra4.config file that is located in the main Sierra Chart installation folder. We want to see if this is causing the issue. Hi, I disagree with the solution approach recommended in above link. I already mentioned above that only way to make application responsive is to kill it from task manager (so ESC button etc did not work to bring application back to life) Also, in adding buttons on control bar I am able to add all buttons in menu(probably over 100+) but ONLY and ONLY for study collections button my application freezes. Please advise. |

This is a Windows operating system issue. 100%. And we are working to replace that particular dialog window with our own. Not this absolute garbage Microsoft one.

In my experience SC Engg analysis is always accurate . So, I will bite the bullet and wait for upgrade mentioned above. Thanks for prompt response. I do agree with windows opinion expressed above:) |
