the studies horizontal line at time and high/low for time period - can not draw a straight line ONLY. The line drawn appears as "stair step line" specifically between the end of the previous time period and start of the new time period

The above results in somewhat ugly and more to the point redundant vertical lines, unnceerily cluttering the chart. Anyway to suppress the vertical lines ? I did try switching from the default "stair step line" to just "line" but that didnt have any effect on the vertical lines - ie the plots were still "stair step"

Try using 'Dash' drawstyle instead.

yes still getting stairstep lines instead of just lines on range bar charts (dont use any other type of bars) even when using a dashed line style

Not dashed 'line style' - Drawstyle Dash >>>> Chart Studies: Dash (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_DASH)

I am also using range bar charts with these studies.

indeed it has worked. Thank you for the additional efforts/clarifications/time to point out that there was also Drawstyle "Dash" besides linestyle "Dash"
