I am hoping someone can help me either find or make or adjust a setting. I want to be able to draw an extended rectangle that stops when price returns to it. Sort of like on touch. Is this currently possible?

You would have to program this such that you were drawing an extended rectangle, and then check if the price intersects and when it does, change the extending rectangle to a standard rectangle with the end anchor point at the index at which the price intersected.

Refer to the following for programming information for drawing tools:
Using Drawing Tools From an Advanced Custom Study

You might be able to do what you want with the Spreadsheet Study and using the Fill options to create a filled area between two lines. We have not worked this out to say that it could be done, but it is something that you could try to do this way.

Is there a way in any of the settings to manually stop an extended rectangle or convert it to a rectangle? or is the only native solution to draw a rectangle over the extended and then delete the extended?

thanks so much for your help
