I'm developing something using the SSfT study, and it looks like it should work well except that I keep seeing certain things being calculated in seemingly the "wrong" order, at least for my purposes. Visually everything appears to be correct, but by lots of manual troubleshooting I've concluded that certain calculations are not happening until after they are needed, and so the final expected behavior fails. I can't find the order of calculations on a spreadsheet system documented anywhere. Is it? Or could it be? It would be extremely helpful in building certain types of systems, to understand the calculation flow. Thanks! |

In case this helps anyone in the future, I did some experimenting and it looks like spreadsheets generally calculate starting in A1, go down a cell at a time, then wrap around to B1 and repeat. There can definitely be a delay from the time the first cell processes, and the last cell processes, so in certain use cases this can be an optimization worth thinking about.

j4ytr4der_ Calculations needed for triggering a trade? Is your trading formula complex? Still only talking about 15-20ms? Isn't just the cell 3 of every column being populated on each scan? What chart timeframe is being used? U seem to be one of the most experienced around SC support board thanks for the insight. Are you proficient in ACSIL yet? |
