Can you modify/improve the existing study called "Study/Price Overlay" by adding "Number of Days To Calculate"? I want to overlay a study from another chart but be able to control how may days it is plotted/displayed on the chart. I hope this makes sense. Thank you for your timely support/response. |

We have set this as a Feature Request. As a workaround, you can use the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study to control the dates/times the study is displayed by setting the Alert Condition to check the Dates/Times. Refer to the information on the following section on Date/Time functions available in alerts: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Available Main Price Graph Identifiers/Variables For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I am familiar with the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" but I am not sure how it can be utilized to control the display of an overlaid study.

The easiest way is to just use the Number of Bars to Calculate on the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study to control how far back the overlay is displayed To color another study, refer to the information at this link: Color Bar Based on Alert Condition: Coloring Subgraphs of Other Studies But you can hide the study that is overlaid in order to just show the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study. i still don't get what you are suggesting. those studies/methods you are suggesting makes no reference to the original study I am overlaying. anyways, i'd appreciate it very much if you could quickly implement the original request I made. thank you again.

The study collection at the following link should give you some idea of how to implement what you are looking for: https://www.sierrachart.com/AdditionalFiles/StochasticSlow-ColorAboveBelow.StdyCollct We do not know when we will be able to get to implementing your request.
