Beginning with version 1115, you will see a new Backups folder created within the Sierra Chart installation folder. This will contain backups of all of the configuration files and also Chartbooks and the SCAlerts.JSON file. The backups of these files have a day of week name prefixed to them. So this maintains a rolling 7 days of backups for these files. As has been stated, the same backup model also applies to Chartbooks and replaces the old internal version number method of naming the backup Chartbooks. With this method, you will be able to always have access to last seven days of the state of your Chartbooks, assuming you save them everyday. This new Backups folder keeps all of the backups in one single location so you can easily delete the folder anytime you want without fear of losing anything important. So long as you do not want to keep the backups. It also helps keep the other folders uncluttered from backup files. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
