Hello. Several questions regarding adding studies to a chart and choosing ""include in spread sheet"" check box. 1 - Can I choose to which column the new study will be placed in the spreadsheet ? as of now, SC chooses where to add it and that moves around existing calculations which screws them up. 2 - Can I have a ""new tab" in an existing spreadsheet like in excel? 3 - Can I choose a specific sub graph value to output from the Numbers bars calculated values and not have the whole thing outputted ? Thank you |

1. No. The studies are output starting at the end of the formula columns (AA by default). In terms of referencing the studies, you do not want to reference them in the spreadsheet using the Column and Row as you normally would in a spreadsheet. Instead you need to reference the ID and Subgraph and row. Refer to the following: Working with Spreadsheets: References to Study Subgraph Columns when using the Spreadsheet Study 2. Yes, you can add a sheet by selecting Spreadsheet >> Add Sheet. Just be very careful with this when using the Spreadsheet Studies, as you can add a sheet that would get used by a chart, in which case you would lose the work that you had in that sheet. Refer to the following: Spreadsheet Menu: Spreadsheet >> Add Sheet And to the following: Spreadsheet Study Inputs: Chart Data Output Sheet Number 3. There are a couple of options here. One is to turn off the options for the other subgraphs so they are not output to the spreadsheet. Refer to the following: Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Include in Spreadsheet Keep in mind that you can then save that as your default setup for the study. Refer to the following: Chart Studies: Using Custom Default Study Settings The other option is to use the Input for the Spreadsheet for Do Not Output Subgraphs Set to Ignore. Hello. Thank you for the reply I cant find the Do Not Output Subgraphs Set To Ignore Not in the spreadsheet tab in SC main window. Not in the Settings and input tab or the subgraph tab in the study it self. Please advise. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-10-28 18:28:16

It is in the Spreadsheet Studies Inputs. If you go to the documentation page we linked above (and listed again below), you will see where in the order of the Inputs you will find this one (they are listed in the same order on the page as they are on the Settings window. Do you mean that in general, for any study, is the Draw Style for an individual subgraph of the study is set to ignore, then it will not be outputted to the spreadsheet ?

Hi John, Can you just elaborate a little further. Using an ASCIL Study and could not find a way of preventing the output of specific subgraphs. I don't want to hide or ignore Subgraphs as they appear as needed on the chart, however, I do not want/need them in the spreadsheet which also adds unnecessary complexity. Hence, "sc.IncludeInSpreadsheet" or "Hidden/Ignore" is not a solution for me. How would I control the output of each individual Subgraph to an attached spreadsheet. Many thanks |

Dear Engineering I've been right through everything I can find but the link provided along with the ACSIL example Studies don't seem to show a method that will allow me to set a specific subgraphs "spreadsheet output." Is there something along the lines of: Subgraph_MovingAverage.IncludeInSpreadsheet = false;
Of course the "Study >> Settings > Include In Spreadsheet" provides the option to manually determine the output but what is the interface member, or code, to set this in the actual ACSIL study code? Many thanks |
