The two indicators are supposed to have the same value area calculations, but I get two totally different values for each indicator. What's the reason for this? TPO Value Area line Profile chart

You can NOT set the TPO Value Area Lines on a TPO chart. As you found out, it does not work. Refer to the information at the following link: Time Price Opportunity (TPO) Profile Charts: Using Other Studies on a TPO Chart The purpose of the standalone TPO Value Area Lines is to display those lines on a non-TPO chart. Do this and compare the values and as long as the Value Area is the same, you will get the same results.
