I don't know how to make it download to the current date.

I disconnect and reconnect and it didn't work

Our servers indicate that your Current Selected Service is set to SC Data - All Services. If this is correct, then that is not the correct symbol for the VIX index. The symbol is $VIX in this case.

The easy way to change it (and any other symbols that are not correct, if you have any) is to select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service.
