Good day,

When I use continuous contract data (back adjusted), I get 'Not Responding' error messages when I open one or more chartbooks. When I have more than one chartbook open using this data type, the software becomes slow and often unresponsive.

It seems to me that 'continuous' data for contracts is not stored locally but is continuously download and recalculated.

Can you tell me how to optimise the use of continuous contract data (back adjusted) so that the software remains stable and responsive?

I am using the Denali Feed.

Thank you.

The data IS stored locally and is retrieved as quickly as it can. But, if you are loaded a lot of days (hundreds) then it can take some time to load all the contracts and the data.

We do not know what your particular setup is, but it sounds like you just need to give it time to get the data loaded.

Refer to the following for some other possible things to do/check for:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
