Hi,
I would like to trade stocks with my IB account. Would you advise against doing this with SierraChart? I understand from your documentation that setting up IB is very complicated.
I currently trade futures with AMP.
Thanks,
Robin

Really this is up to you and to try it and evaluate it. Documentation to use Interactive Brokers is here:

For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, *change* to the Teton service:

Had used SC with IB to trade equities on live accounts for over 1 year. My advise is to keep your setup simple. Most of the incompatibility issues are related to IB data feed. So best to only do order routing via IB Gateway. Once you get your SC+IB setup working, DO NOT UPDATE the software unless they stop working (was 100% for me).

I trade stock and options with IB everyday ,

I can say that the only way to make it feel good was to get the Sierra chart data feed( its around 35$ US per month )And I never had any problem with their feed.

( options Are trickier as you need to input naming from IB , it looks like that , TSLA-OPT-20210917-710-C-SMART-100-USD , I have build a python program that can do some naming of multiple strike price and symbol and date at the same time to make my life easier and I had them in a Watchlist Mode chart)

hope this can help
