Hi, When I scale out on say 3 contracts, what seems to happen is I can scale out of first two fine, however on the third and final contract, the stop loss order bracket will drop off of the order. Is there any way that I can remedy this? Many thanks, |

It sounds like you have a quantity of 3 in your Stop Loss and you are scaling out in steps of 1. Therefore, at the third time, you are scaling out the last quantity of the Stop Loss. If this is not the situation, then we need more information on what is happening so we can understand the situation. Thanks John, So what happens is I apply 3 contracts with brackets- three stop losses in place. First scale of 1 contract leaves me with two contracts left, however now only 1 remaining stop loss. Therefore my next scale then leaves me without a stop loss on the final contract. This is repeatable and the same no matter which instrument. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-09-06 15:54:06

The simplest possibility is that the attached Stop Loss has a quantity of 2 when you are doing the first scale out, even though the main order is only a quantity of 1. The information on what is happening will be in your Trade Activity Log. Look to find the order modification and why it is changing it by 2 instead of 1. Hi John, I have looked at the log it does appear that there are 2 stops being cancelled on first scale out if I am reading correctly: Log is as follows: OrderTypeQuantityBuySell PoistionQuantity Market 1 Buy 1 Market 1 Buy 2 Market 1 Buy 3 Market 1 Sell 2 Market 1 Sell 1 Market 1 Sell Order log from first scale out: ActivityType DateTime Symbol OrderActionSource InternalOrderID ServiceOrderID OrderType Quantity BuySell Price Price2 OrderStatus Orders 59:24.7 [Sim]F.US.MESU21 F.US.EPU21/F.US.MESU21[M] 150 Trades #19 | User order entry | Last: 4544.5 | Scaling out | AO=0 54431 Market 1 Sell Order Sent Orders 59:24.7 [Sim]F.US.MESU21 Simulated order accepted 54431 54431 Market 1 Sell Open Orders 59:24.7 [Sim]F.US.MESU21 Trade simulation fill. They were placed with 'buy market' and scaling out using 'sell market' I can see when the orders are placed that the stop orders go up sequentially. 1-2-3 However when marketing out jump from 3 to 1 Is there some setting I am missing on why the scale outs would have more stops associated? We do see why this condition occurs and it has now been resolved and we will have a new release out before morning. It relates to using Even Distribution.
