Sometimes the market closes earlier than usual, ie. before a holiday, S&P would just open half a day. Is there a way to get the market closing time for the current day automatically from the system/server for a given market so I can use it in my ACSIL trading system? I looked all around without being able to find an answer to my question. Thanks |

Dear Sierra Chart team, I don't know why does this post keep getting ignored but I would like some kind of comment from the SC team. Thank you |

I have never complained about Sierra Chart support until now; no answer, comment or anything for a month to my request for help......

We do not have an answer. There is no way to know that the market is closed as opposed to simply not trading within Sierra Chart. Hence, we tagged this as a User Discussion in the hopes that someone might have a grand idea of how to do what you are wanting. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

All the exchanges provide a web page with list of holidays / half trading day etc. Either one can look at the relevant web page, or develop a custom study, with list of all holidays / half trading days ( for the year ), weekends etc rules programmed, and display todays closing time / next session opening time etc, on chart. |
