Trying to get my head wrapped around how I can trade ES/MES options for the purpose of hedging a futures position held over the weekend.

In order to trade ES/MES options using SC:

1. I MUST use Denali as my data feed in order to get options data
2. I MUST use SC's Futures Order Routing Service to route the order
3. I MUST have a trading account with a firm that supports #2 (meaning TT) -and- supports ES/MES options trading

That means I can't trade ES/MES options unless I:

1. Say goodbye to AMP

-or-

2. Say goodbye to SC/Denali

Am I correct in all that?

For options trading at this time you would need to use CQG:
CQG Trading Platform Service

Since I am using CQG for order routing, and since I can get a listing of the available ES/MES options contracts, it sounds like I am already setup to trade ES/MS options, as long as I am also good on the AMP side of things. Is that right?

Part of my confusion comes from this thread:
Futures Options using Sierra Charts

Where, in Post #3, you indicate the need to use this service to trade options on futures:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

And that service requires a firm that supports TT, which AMP no longer supports. So maybe that requirement was strictly for IB customers.

Correct.

That was a specific answer to a question related to Interactive Brokers.

One last question (I hope!):

In looking over the available options contracts, I see everything available for ES, but I can't find the available options contracts for MES.

I was specifically looking for the MES Friday weeklies, product code EX1 - EX4, but I don't see any EX options at all.

I'm looking under "Futures Options - CME (Denali Data)" and don't see anywhere else the MES options might be hiding. Are MES options not traded through the CME?

Still can't locate available options contracts for MES using "Find Symbol"

As you can see, ES options are listed near the top of the attached image. Since the listings are alphabetical, I would think MES would be included with the "M"'s but they aren't there.

However, I was able to manually enter the product code for the MES 2nd Friday Weekly (EX2U21~) and open a trading DOM. Price on the DOM appears to be correct, so I guess I'm good.

At this point, just passing it along.
