I created a new chartbook to copy to. I right click on chart to duplicate to new chartbook, new chartbook does not appears in selection window. I have included screen shots. Cannot determine why new chartbook12 appears to copy to.

That window is one of the "new" window types. You need to click in the area to the right of the item you want to open the list. In this case, you need to click where it states "Chartbook10.cht" and this will open the list for you to select the chartbook you want.

For more information on how to work with that particular field type, refer to the following:

[Feature Request]

Would be nice to have a {New Chartbook} listed as a selection when duplicating.

Of course, by default, the {New Chartbook} should open with the duplicated chart active in it.

Possible?

I find this change infuriating. Before, a drop down list would just appear and simply pick the one you wanted. This was one of the few things I learned to do without having to spend so much time figuring out how to do it. Now you change it and it's not user friendly anymore and again I have to search and spend so much time figuring out how to do it. I think you need to realize that we are traders and do not have a desire to waste our time with a second career in learning your program!

Using these Settings Windows is very easy. You just left click on the row, then left click on the field to edit and just then edit the setting. Although we will support a single left click, when the row is not previously selected. This will be an option. This has been planned but we will get it done soon.

Users do not realize the detrimental impact, of Microsoft dialog windows and how they use massive resources and create system issues as the result of this:
Before, a drop down list would just appear and simply pick the one you wanted.

These Settings Windows are designed to be very efficient and reliable and superfast.

And also regarding post #4, your comments are generally absurd.

Regarding post #3, we will add an option to automatically create a new Chartbook when duplicating.

Thank you for adding this. A quick note...

Using v2333 (40167), when the menu choice for "Duplicate Chart To Chartbook" is selected, the following error is noted in the Message Log:

Windows error code 1401: Invalid menu handle. | 2021-12-12 10:25:07.493

Is this anything users should be worried about?

I have the same problem. When I duplicate a chartbook, only the current chart is shown in the list. I want to copy the chart to an existing chartbook, not a new one, but there is no option for it.

You have to actually select that field that shows the current chartbook to show you the list of available chartbooks to copy to. Also, you have to have the other Chartbook open to have it show in the list, so if you do not have any other Chartbooks open, then this would also be a reason why you are only seeing the one chartbook.
