I am looking for clear precise instruction on how to set up Sierra Charts in the Live trading environment. I have been told so many different ways of doing it and still havent found something that works. I was told you are no longer supporting Denali data feed (So I switched to Rithmic), I was then told you guys arent supporting Rithmic anymore either and I'm lost. I am with Ontotrade, we've been a client for many years, but after the new SEC changes this year we have lost many of our clients due to the confusion getting their charts up. Looking for the most precise, simple and cost effective step-by-step process on how to set up my charts so I can then help our clients set up theirs. My broker is Edgeclear and clearing firm is Ironbeam. Thanks-Wes |

It all depends on what order routing service is being used. Thankyou for your reply. I am attempting to use Rithmic. After following the instruction on the above link, my charts remain in "Waiting to reconnect" mode. What am I missing?

Followed the instructions and reopened my charts. No change. The Message log is looping between "DTC Disconnected" > "Will reconnect in 4.0 seconds"

Did you enter all the information in the Data/Trade Window Settings for the Rithmic connection? There are multiple fields related to data that need a Username and Password. Make sure you enter your information for each of those.

Okay I am now connected, but it won't download any charts. Says "Download failed. Permission denied"

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log: Message Log: Clearing the Message Log Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart. Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect". Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed". After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog We will then determine what the problem is. The error code doesnt come up in the message log, it's just a red box on the screen (non-clickable)

There is an orange box that says " Symbol is unknown. Click for symbol information. permission denied". Directly below that is a red box that says " Download Failed Error downloading historical Intraday data for ESU1.CME. permission denied"

Called customer. The information in the log is showing that the Rithmic data is not setup for use. Recommended the customer call his broker to verify that the Rithmic data is setup.
