I am trying to figure out the best trading service to use with SC real time data feed (for most accurate unfiltered tick data). The trading service data feed in this case doesn't matter (since we wont use it), but what does matter is execution and server supported OCO. Personally, I think its crazy not to have server OCO supported bc what if power or internet goes down? From this criteria I have compiled this list:

1. CTS - Seems pointless as you will have to pay $25 to CTS/month and an extra $1 RT on top of brokers commission.
2. CQG - Seems like a good option. I dont know if there is a monthly fee, but deep discount says $10/month and 20 cents RT. Not sure why the $10 is charged, is that so you can execute through CQG?
3. Open Ecry - Seems like a good option, any objections? Looks like no additional monthly costs.
4. TD Ameritrade - Would not use this, they have a proprietary API to connect to it, who knows how long that will last.
5. Interactive Brokers - Looks like you have to run their software side by side with sierrachart, inconvenient.

From my own deductions I would say CQG/Open Ecry look good, but I lack any experience with them.

Anybody have experience with this and could post about it?
Any order execution issues with a particular service?

Thanks!

Hi

CTS-OEC-CQG give server-side based order ,i'm with CTS and works fine .

I think OEC has a limitation of how many symbols you can follow at the same moment ,in my case would not be a limitation.

I'm with DDT too, be aware that if you use CQG with SC doesn't work as datafeed ,you need to subscribe to SC datafeed
i'm a subscriber of SC datafeed and works fine , version you see on DDT doesn't have OCO order

Are you sure? On the DDT website it says "Server-Side OCO Execution Thru CQG & CTS Feeds"

Sierra Chart definitely supports server-side OCO with CQG.

Based on your requirements we think CQG is a good choice.

What markets do you want to track? Just the CME markets? If so, CQG will be fine. Otherwise, you will have to pay significant exchange fees for data.

The information the prior post does not apply to Sierra Chart when using CQG FIX. Server-side OCO, Attached Orders and trailing stop orders is definitely provided.

Hi

i don't want be involved into a discussion about things i don't know , also and more important i don't want tell or make understand SC doesn't support OCO orders through CQG.

here you can see different CQG version :
http://deepdiscounttrading.com/TradingPlatforms.html
IMHO seems that is CQG that doesn't support OCO orders for this type of platform.
maybe i'm wrong but the best solution, imho, is to ask Howard or Crossland.

The only people who would know whether server-side OCO is supported when using CQG, is us. There is no one else who would have any ability to definitively say yes or no on that.

I did not start this thread to confirm that CQG supports OCO, this is stated on Sierra's CQG page and I don't doubt it. Lets not waste time debating this subject. People really need to reed the information available on SC web site.

The point of this thread was to get some opinions about what broker people use with SC real time feed and why. And if there are any problems with any of the trading services out of the trading services with server supported OCO.

i'm with deep discount trading and all works fine

yes, absolutely true but if you read the link CQG simple trader seems doesn't offer OCO orders and doesn't offer Market deep.
maybe you already tested it and you seen that OCO orders work, this would be great period.
