Put the 40 day moving average on first. Then add another copy of a moving average study, but set the Based On to the 40 day moving average. I need to be able to put the 40day moving average and 29 day moving average on all charts?

To have a 40 day moving average, you would first have a daily chart. Then add one of the Moving Average studies (such as Moving Average - Simple) and then set the Length to the number of days for which you want the Moving Average calculated.
