Is there a way to collect in the Sierra Chart spreadsheet the price data, via the new axis, of an overlayed security with an independent scale setting? For example, I like to overlay the "legs" of a commodity spread in my commodity spread charts. For a leg trading at $100, I can not use that scale (nor do I want to for this purpose) on my spread chart which is trading at perhaps $1. So I overlay it with an independent scale in the cases where I am already using the left hand scale for some other indicator. This is fine, because what I am most interested in is the pattern of the leg, not the actual price. What I would like to do though is some analysis on the difference in patterns between the spread and the leg. For what I am looking to do, all I would need is the equivalent spread prices that the leg is being artificially overlayed on the chart via Sierra Chart. I want to do more than just a visual look and if I had the corresponding data stream available in a spreadsheet, I could analyze it more thoroughly. Is there an easy way to get that data?

Yes. All of this is very basic. Use the Spreadsheet study and the Overlay (Bar) study to overlay the other charts you want. The overlays will be outputted to the spreadsheet beginning at column AA, by default.

Sorry, I wasn't clear at all. I am not looking for the actual price of the leg, but the price points at which it is overlayed on the spread chart. So for example, April Hogs (leg) are trading at $82 and the April - June Hog Spread is trading at -$8, with the scale showing from -$10 to -$3 If I overlay the April leg on the Spread Chart on a 5 minute chart (could be any time frame), I do not want them to share the same scale, less the chart scale is too wide. Instead I overlay with an independent scale so that I retain the $-10 to $-3 scale needed to effectively show the Spread, while also showing the pattern of the Leg move, but not the actual prices. So the Leg now overlays somewhere between $-10 and $-3 over time. What I am looking for is the actual data points to be outputted to the spreadsheet as to where exactly the leg is overlaying over time on the spread scale. I am aware, as you say, that the actual leg prices will output to the spreadsheet, but I want the prices at which it overlays on the spread scale (see attached file). OK, clearly you understand what you require. We would think what the Spreadsheet functionality offers should be clear. So if you are able to accomplish what you need, good. If not, not sure really what we could do to help with this. Maybe some custom programming using ACSIL would help: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_CreatingDLLs.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
