Is it possible to somehow using spreadsheet trading to alternate going long and short. For example, once it goes long and exits, then it waits for the next short. If another long comes along, it will ignore it as the last trade was a long?

You could try using the value in $j$7 in a formula. 'Prior position Qty.' |

This should be possible, but the exact details do need to be worked by you. If it is difficult to do with Spreadsheets you can use the ACSIL trading functions.
