Hello, I spoke to a really helpful guy one time via your support system. I have been learning about how to use Sierra in the interim period, but am still a bit confused about the data. I have been using a combination of Rithmic and IQ data while using another charting programme. How do I get an equal level of data on Sierra chart and what will the costs be? Many thanks Saul |

We really recommend using our data feeds. They are very high quality and have many years of historical data available. For more information, refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart What are the exchanges for which you need data and do you need market depth information with them? For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-04-21 16:36:25

Then you would need to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed for your data. Before you go any further though, make sure you read through the following and understand the need to have a futures trading account in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges If you just need data for the ES, then you could use the CME with Market Depth for Non-Professionals exchange, which costs $10.40. You will find the Setup Instructions for the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group data here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

It depends on the service you are using. There are a few of these we specifically do not support, such as CQG. Refer to the following: CQG Trading Platform Service: CQG Demo Accounts Not Supported As stated in the above, you have access to the Simulation mode within Sierra Chart. Refer to the following: Trade Simulation As well as our Simulated Futures Trading Service. Refer to the following: Simulated Futures Trading Service And how do I add non delayed data to the Denali feed?
This is the link we gave you above for the Denali Exchange Data Feed. Hey, I subscribed to the service pack and data but it is asking for a futures account. You said that I could use a demo account issued by my broker but this does not seem to work. Is there a way that I can get around this issue? The only reason why I subscribed was so I could learn how to use the programme before I start associating money with the platform via a broker. Many thanks s |

Sorry, when you asked if you could use a Demo account, we did not realize you were asking in relation to the non-professional status for the CME Group. We thought you were just asking if you could use it with Sierra Chart in general. The answer, as you have found, is that you can not use a Demo account with your broker to qualify for the non-professional status for the CME Group. It has to be a live account. We see you have not activated any exchanges yet, so you have not lost any funds. If you do not have a live funded futures account, then you will not qualify for the non-professional status. In which case, we recommend changing your package back to Package 5. Then, since you state that "so I could learn how to use the programme before I start associating money with the platform via a broker." We recommend using the FREE Delayed Streaming Exchange Data Feed. This data is 10-15 minutes delayed from the real-time, but in all ways acts the same as the live data. Therefore, you can, and should, use this for your testing. Refer to the following: Delayed Exchange Data Feed For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

We see you did not activate any exchanges for the Denali Exchange Data Feed yet. So we set your Service Package back to 5 for now. Since that package is lower cost. You can change back to package 11 any time. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
