Hey everyone This sounds like a very basic thing but even after a long time of using Sierra have not been able to figure this out. I have the function where with a right click I can delete drawings that I have selected to help me save time and be quick. However sometimes I get clicks mixed up and when I am trying to click on a drawing like a ray tool or a rectangle I end up deleting it by mistake. I have never figured out how to undo that and recover it. I go to the Edit menu but the options for "redo chart drawing" is never activated after I have deleted something. I don't get how to get this to work. It should be very simple too just be able to undo something you delete by accident. Thanks for any input on how to do this. I looked around the forums and have not seen a specific answer for this. |

You want to select Edit >> Undo Chart Drawing. Refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Undoing and Redoing Chart Drawing Operations For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

related to this as i often have to undo the delete when i click on a drawing, it will turn into adjust drawing (this is good, this is what i want) however, if i change my mind, how do i cancel adjust/edit drawing? often what i do is just right click and the drawing snaps back to where it was (which is good), but sometimes another drawing that was deleted comes back (it's like after i enabled edit/adjust drawing mode, if i right click, it does 'undo chart drawing' or something?) so if edit/adjust drawing is active, and i change my mind, how do i leave all drawings as they are without any changes? thanks |

What you are doing is correct. When you are in "Adjust Mode" and you do not want to make any adjustments, the way out is to "right-click" to end the process. You should not be getting back older drawings that you had previously deleted. If you see this again, then let us know.

please see the gif 1) i draw a trend line 2) i click to edit the horizontal extending rectangle 3) i change my mind and i right click to "cancel" editing horizontal extending rectangle after right click, it does UNDO for previous drawing (in this case, deletes the trendline i drew) |

Can you please attach your Sierra4.config file to this post. We want to see how your Tool Settings are setup and see if we can reproduce the issue from there. The file is located in the main Sierra Chart installation folder (typically C:\Sierra Chart). Follow these instructions to attach a file: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

We are still not able to reproduce this with the configuration file. Can you also get us a Chartbook that is setup in a way that makes this occur? Refer to the following instructions to get us a chartbook with a single chart: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

i think i found out how to reproduce it: 1) draw a trend line 2) click to edit the horizontal extending rectangle (this is chart drawing copied from another chart) 3) i change my mind and i right click to "cancel" editing horizontal extending rectangle = after right click, it does UNDO for previous drawing (in this case, deletes the trendline i drew) vs another scenario: 1) i draw a trend line 2) i click to edit the horizontal extending rectangle (this drawing is NOT copied from another chart) 3) i change my mind and i right click to "cancel" editing horizontal extending rectangle = after right click, extending rectangle goes back to same place, trend line stays so... that means this behavior is showing up only in scenario 1, when i try to edit a drawing THAT IS COPIED FROM ANOTHER CHART, but change my mind and do the right click please see if you can reproduce it now thanks |

We were not able to reproduce it with the copied drawings, but it's good we are getting closer. What Tool is selected when you are able to reproduce this? Is it the Pointer, Hand or something else?
