I usually trade at 6:30pacific, which is obviously when my system starts recording data. However, when I do a market replay for a day, the downloaded historical data plays ticks accurately, but then when I reach 6:30 (my recorded data session), the replay starts only incrementing in 1 second steps. What is the reason for this?? Id like to be able to replay the times that I trade in, accurately. Not in 1 second increments? Should I just clear the cache of data everytime I run a replay, so that the replay is based off the downloaded data? Is that the solution? Obviously Id lose the depth of market data, and only see 1x1 on the ladder. But at least the price movement will be displayed accurately, and not all jumpy in 1 second increment. Is there a better soluition? Should I just not record data then? thanks K |

Set Sierra Chart to a Tick by Tick Data Configuration. Follow the instructions here to do this: Tick by Tick Data Configuration You need to have consistent tick by tick data. And you can only be assured to have this with the Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed So you need to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed. And with the Denali Exchange Data Feed you will also have historical market depth data. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Yes. I have tick by tick data enabled by 1 tick in the settings. Still happens. Is it because im using Rithmic data feed? It shouldn't make a difference, but maybe it does? |
