Start SC application on System A with Data/Trade Service set to Interactive Brokers (trading). Every thing runs fine with all charts updating. Now Start SC application on System B with Data/Trade Service set to SC Data-All Services. No charts updating. Message Log shows "Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded." Tried shutting down IB connection on System A and restarting SC with Data/Trade Service also set to SC Data-All Services. Same result. Please could you help me. Thanks. Jim |

The problem is that you are getting your data in System A from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, not from IB. Therefore, when you go to System B and try to open a chart, you are getting the error "Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded." If you want to get your data from IB in System A and your data from Sierra Chart in System B, then do the following: - On System A, go to File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings. - Set the option for Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds to No. - Select File >> Disconnect. - Select File >> Connect to Data Feed. - On System B, go to File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings. - Ensure that the option for Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to Yes. - If System B was started after the changes to System A, then you are done. Otherwise, restart Sierra Chart on System B. Refer to the following information for the setting "Allow Support For Sierra Chart Data Feeds[/b]: Data/Trade Service Settings: Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Other Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
