We are no longer as of December 28, 2020 providing the Sierra Chart provided historical data service for CQG or Interactive Brokers users. For more information, refer to this Support Board thread: Jan 1, 2021 Changes to Historical Data: Interactive Brokers, CQG Also refer to this post for steps that you need to do now: Jan 1, 2021 Changes to Historical Data: Interactive Brokers, CQG | Post: 245144 The solution to this problem is to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed for CME and EUREX (Upcoming in January 2021) data. Step-by-step instructions are here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* The first calendar month of this data feed is free. Let us know if you need help with the set up and we will help you through all of the steps. In the case of CQG you will then need to contact your broker and cancel CME and EUREX exchange fees through your CQG account so you do not pay exchange fees twice. You definitively do not have to pay any market data exchange fees through your brokerage account to CQG. This is not required. For other exchanges (ICE, HKFE) you need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed As an alternative to CQG, we recommend using the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service: Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service In regards to using CQG provided historical data, we definitely do not recommend using that. It has an additional cost of 25 USD per month. The data delivery is slow and inefficient and causes Sierra Chart to freeze during the processing of it. Only 5 days of tick data is supported from CQG. And only current futures contracts are provided. Whereas with Sierra Chart provided data feeds, you will have access to 10+ years of reliable high-speed delivered tick by tick data. Once again we do not advise using CQG historical data and it will not work well with Sierra Chart. And we also provide no technical help or support for any CQG provided historical data or real-time data. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. So is it because of CQG if I am missing the data from yesterday at 5:47 pm until 3:00 pm? However, I have my friend who has exactly the same configuration as me with his CQG flow and his sierra platform and he has no problem however |

You would have to ask your brokers to see if there is a difference in the historical data that is being made available to each of you.

you say that: "Only 5 days of tick data are supported by CQG" but then why am I just missing the data from yesterday until today when I closed my platform and I open air ? Logically if CQG provided 5 days I must have the data from yesterday and today

We have heard of some users that are setup to only get Live data and others that have 5 days. Again, you need to ask your broker about how you are setup with CQG data.

before 1 day ago, i had no data feed problem and between you and AMP you are blaming yourself, i pay a CQG EUREX feed $ 25, i pay your platform $ 36, i pay commissions and overnight I have a flow problem, I can't even trade and the problem is still not resolved !! CQG says that there is no problem with the flow I must have from the history and that it must be seen directly with sierra

This is what AMP told me I launch a troubleshooting on your connection and all the historical data of the market are available with what CQG allows, Check the data 1 month Graphs of the day 3 years Data min 3 months (translated) there is no problem on the side of CQG the problem is that Sierra Charts have limited the amount of history they want to store on their servers, so they can sell you on their Denali data feed makes no difference to us, you can use either, and we just set you up for CQG routing on our side if you want so it is sierra that blocked your history and leaves that the live stream |

It is true that we no longer store the CQG data on our servers. That is what the change in December was about. We were subsidizing the historical data from CQG and customers never knew this was happening. We did not make this change to force anyone to use one data feed or another. We made the change because we no longer wanted to make CQG look better than they were. Again, we only stopped providing historical data that we had been storing for them on our servers and then serving it out to customers. We are NOT limiting the amount of data that you can receive from CQG. If you are not getting the data that you expect, then you need to work that out with your Broker. bonjour John donc je voudrais pouvoir tester le flux denali avec mon courtier AMP, mais je ne sais pas comment ça se passe pour la transmission des ordres avec CQG. Une fois que j'ai souscrit au flux denali je me connecte a sierra chart et ensuite ? Il y aurait une alternative a CQG, c'est de passer les ordres avec TT mais apparemment on ne pourrait pas avoir accès a cause de mon courtier AMP. |

From Google Translate: hello John so I would like to be able to test denali flow with my AMP broker, but I don't know how it goes for transmitting orders with CQG.
Once I have subscribed to the denali feed I connect to the sierra chart and then? There would be an alternative to CQG, it is to place orders with TT but apparently we could not have access because of my broker AMP. There is no problem, whatsoever, in terms of getting the data from us and using another service for trading, including CQG. It looks like you are already connected to CQG for your order routing. Therefore, all you need to do is to follow through these Setup Instructions for the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group (if you need data for EUREX, there are a separate set of instructions on that same page): Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* Once you complete the above, you will be all set to receive the data from the Denali Exchange Data Feed and place orders through CQG for your AMP account. From Google Translate: it's good I managed to get the denali stream but I have another problem is that I can't get the missing data from the previous days
For each symbol for which you have missing data, select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. This will remove any previous data and redownload the data from the Sierra Chart historical data. Note that you only need to perform the above action per symbol, not per chart. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
