Market statistics with non-SC data feeds

I would like to vote for a feature - to be able to receive SC market statistics along with non-SC data service. I need TICK feed and my own data pushed with DTC in a same chart. Thoughts? |

You actually have the ability to do this. This is controlled through Symbol Settings. Go to the Symbol Settings folder in the Sierra Chart installation folder and look at this file: SymbolSettings.scdataallservices.xml You can then copy from there the symbol settings for market statistics and then create this file in the same folder: CustomSymbolSettings.dtc.xml And put a copy of the Symbol Settings in there. That should work. You will need to also restart Sierra Chart. You will also need to enable Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Use Custom Symbol Settings Values. Sorry it sounds very good but I am lost trying to implement this. what have i done: 1. made copy of scdataallservices into CustomSymbolSettings.dtc.xml; removed all symbols from CustomSymbolSettings except TICK-NYSE 2. checked Use Custom Symbol Settings Values 3. set Data Service to DTC Sub Instance. 4. restarted SC 5. opened 2 charts - 6B and TICK; started to feed 6B from my DTC server - received; expected to get TICK from SC - nothing there. (looking at the log - SC sends TICK request to my DTC server). What I need is 1. Feed 6B from my DTC server 2. Receive TICK from SC - All Service data feed. could you please help. |

it works! thank you. for future references: i also added TICK to "SymbolSettings.dtc.xml" (the file had no symbols in it) - not sure if it was necessary but it works. |
