Backtest Scanning on Historical Charts

What I would like to do is run a real-time scanner that continuously scans the NASDAQ and NYSE. Plus, I would like to be able to backtest my scans. I used to be able to do this with SortWizard, but that was 20 years ago, and they are no more. From what I have read, I don't believe that Sierra Charts can scan all the stocks at once, in real-time, that are listed on the NASDAQ and NYSE. What I would like to know is if there is a way I could historically back-test indicators (Not trading strategies.) with Sierra Charts and see what comes up. For example, if I want to check out all the stocks listed on the NASDAQ and NYSE that are trading in the $1.00 to $10.00 range, have a volume of 50,000,000, Number of trades greater than 100,000, and between the times of 8:30 am and 9:00 am, on Monday, January 4th, 2021. Is something like this do-able? Would I have to download every historical chart before I started? Thanks, ScottK P.S. If anyone knows of a scanner that can backtest the above scenario let me know. ScanZ said they may possibly introduce backtesting in the future. Trade Ideas doesn't seem to have "Number of Trades". |
