Resizable Dialogue Boxes and Windows

Good Evening Support ( Hope you had a great day. I certainly did, Kitesurfing in the warm waters of East Coast Australia)

Anyway, back on topic...

I have noticed that none(?) of the Dialogue Boxes ( Primarily the Study Dialogue, Find Symbol Dialogue, Trade Window ) are resizable. Why? Many times I have wished they were. Is it some strict User Interface Design decision you have made, or you just think its not necessary?

Personally I would find resizable Dialogues very useful ( on the Dialogues Mentioned ). Whats your opinion?

That sounds like fun.

If they are resizable, This might mean all of the small little controls on them also have to be designed to move and be more compact or expand. Unless that is not what you are looking for. If so, then this becomes difficult to implement.

We could make the border resizable. but then if someone accidentally resizes these it might look a little strange being some of the controls would get cut off. Assuming they make it smaller.

Ok. In order not to make it complicated how about just making the 'Studies' Dialogue just a little wider and taller, but not resizable?

Here a screenshot which shows that the scroll bar needs to be used just to see the complete name and state ( eg Hidden ) of included studies on a chart.

I know your rushed but its a pretty simple fix imo

We definitely cannot make it wider and taller. This is out of the question because then we end up with reports where users cannot see the full window on smaller display screens.

Longer-term, we will consider how best to accommodate requests like this when we work on some overall user interface changes.
