Major lag on sierra

Everything was working fine till this morning, i updated sierra to the latest version and im still experiencing a lag on the platform. For example when i move the crosshair it takes 1-2 secs to move as well as delays on creating drawings and just moving the chart.Please let me know what to do asap. thanks!
