Is it possible to set a global maximum risk tolerance in SC chart trader, so that when I have multiple positions in a single chart and/or instrument and the sum total P&L in that chart or across that instrument (or even across all open positions) meets a set maximum acceptable loss, this automatically flattens all open positions?

Are there any plans to support this sort of thing? It would be immensely useful. If not by Sierra Chart, could this be programmed for Sierra Chart by a competent programmer?

Generally, we are not comfortable adding this kind of functionality to Sierra Chart because if there is a problem with the profit/loss calculations or position quantities, then this can cause an incorrect action being taken. The reality is, there really is 0% chance of this ever being added unless we develop a complete backend trading system. Otherwise, it is far too of a risk and has a high probability of failing because Sierra Chart cannot consistently determine profit and loss for open positions reliably.
