Good Morning, Is there a version of the Time Range Highlight study where you can set dates (start day/end day) rather than start times and end times? Thanks! |

No, there is not a study that is specifically setup to do this, but you could use the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study to do this. You would have to put the dates you want to cover in the Alert condition and then set the Draw Style to Background. Refer to the information here: Color Bar Based on Alert Condition For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Good Morning, After reviewing the links provided and I can't find a basic description of how to enter the date ranges I would like to see highlighted. The closest I could find was: "Alert at Specific Time: If you want to get an alert at a specific time, use a formula like this: =AND(BARTIME>= TIME(9, 30, 0), BARTIME <= TIME(9, 30, 59)). This will give you an alert when the time 9:30:00 to 9:30:59 occurs on the last bar."
I tried modifying this formula using BARDATE=, BARDATE> etc. I also tried different date formats including yyyy-mm-dd and the numerical equivalent like in Excel. Is it possible for someone to tell me how to configure it to highlight the following date range: 2021-01-14 to 2021-01-18 Once I know the formula I will do the input going back historically for all the date ranges I want to look at. Thanks! |

Use a formula similar to the following: BARDATETIME >= (DATE(2021, 01, 20) + TIME(09, 53, 00)) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hey John, thanks for the suggestion! So far I've got it going using this formula: =AND(BARDATE>= DATE(2021, 01, 10), BARDATE<= DATE(2021, 01, 15)) This gives me a highlighted range from the 10th to the 15th which is exactly what I was looking for. Part 2: Does anyone know a formula or the best way to set up multiple alerts with the same criteria OTHER THAN adding a study for every date range? I have hundreds of date ranges I want to back-test and ideally would avoid adding hundreds of individual studies to the chart. Thanks! |
