Hello, I am subscribed to package 5 + Daneli, and trading on Interactivebrokers through Sierracharts. When I open a new chart for a US Stock, downloading Historical Data is quite slow the first time I open the symbol. I read on the board that I need to have package 5 to use Sierracharts Historical Data. I am on package 5, but am not sure whether I am using IB or SC for Historical data! I have "allow support for SC datafeed" enabled, but this is essentially as I am using Daneli for futures. So to recap, am I downloading stock historical data from IB or SC? And what do I need to do to make sure stock historical data is downloaded from SC if it is much faster? Thanks |

I am now sure that, when connected to IB service, historical data is downloaded from IB as seen in the log (see above). I also tried to connect to SC service instead of IB and I see that the download is much faster. The question is: How can I connect to IB service (to trade), but have historical data downloaded from Sierrachart feed? Thanks |

Refer to the information below. There are two solutions in your case. Use a separate installation of Sierra Chart with the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service: Sierra Chart Historical Data Service Subscribe to the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed with US equities data: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed ------ We are no longer as of December 28, 2020 providing the Sierra Chart provided historical data service for CQG or Interactive Brokers users. In the case of CQG you will then need to contact your broker and cancel CME and EUREX exchange fees through your CQG account so you do not pay exchange fees twice. You definitively do not have to pay any market data exchange fees through your brokerage account to CQG. This is not required. And only current futures contracts are provided. Whereas with Sierra Chart provided data feeds, you will have access to 10+ years of reliable high-speed delivered tick by tick data. Once again we do not advise using CQG historical data and it will not work well with Sierra Chart.
