HI This software claims to work with sierra charts. verbaltradingjournal.com does it integrate with the sierra charts charts? I don't actually trade through sierra was wondering if that is required. |

You mean www.verbaljournaltrading.com It is an add-on study for Sierra Chart, so of course you need Sierra Chart to use it. |

okay. My question was if I needed to use the trading functions of sierra charts to use it. I realise that a sierra chart subscription is needed. Do you use it? Is it in the studies section?

I don't understand "if I needed to use the trading functions...". It is a study that is applied to a chart. It is an add-on 'Custom Study' that you purchase from www.verbaljournaltrading.com which then results in it being available to you in Custom Studies. I am the developer that developed it for www.verbaljournaltrading.com (not my venture). |

Thanks for that - I emailed the verbal trading journal people and haven't had a response ( after a week) so was wondering if it was still working. It doesn't require them to be a going concern to work? Doesn't seem as if they are around much. Any input helpful, Cheers

Hello, This Custom Study just stopped working when I updated Sierra chart to version 2215 Message Log says that it needs to be recompiled for this version. Any help ? |

I am not the developer - I didn't buy the program was it useful? Maybe the verbalJournal guy will reply, let me know if it gets fixed.

Mattthespaniard--It works and was re-compiled. However, you have to add it back as a custom study. There have been 2 SC updates that have required many add-ons to recompile over the last 3 months. If you have any other issues please email support@verbaljournatrading.com and we can look up your account.

No, it doesn't work despite having added it back. Same message "Verbal Journal needs to be recompiled for this version of Sierra Chart. | 2021-01-05 18:46:03.233 *" Also, the functionality issues I have frequently pointed out by email are still unresolved. |

I'm sorry I forgot to mention above that you have to delete your previous VJ dll file(s). Then re-start SC. 1. Remove all previous Verbal Journal .dll files from Sierra Chart /data folder (dll files only) 2. We now only include the 64-bit version. Sierra Chart have stopped distributing the 32-bit app. 3. Add study back in from Custom Studies. Version number of the study is 110 (on Study Settings) |
