Continuous Contract and displayed data on Replay

On replay, I loaded the ESH21 symbol into my chart and see the current trade activity for that chart. However if I enable the "Continuous Contract" feature the chart reloads and displays ESZ20 data - even though ESH21 is still loaded and displayed at the top of the chart. Is this normal behavior?
