Lost Spreadsheet Signals when changing Symbol

When I set up a spreadsheet system for trading, and I change the symbol, all buy and sell entry signals are gone. Is there any additional setting I have to do I'm not aware of? The spreadsheet shows the correct symbol. What I tried is to duplicate the spreadsheet, save it under a new name and re-assigned it to the chart. But still no signals... Are the trading rules still valid for the new symbol? For example, let's say you have a reliance on price in your trading, such that you go long when price is greater than 3000.00. When you change symbols and the new pricing is around 500.00, then your trading rule will never become true with the new symbol. I was sure I checked all parameters to be valid, but you are right, one study was out of range for the formulas. It's solved now. thank you! |
