Dear Sierra, How can I configure a broker if it offers compatibility with DTC. This is a chat I had with the Pepperstone support team " I have another question I use for my trading a platform called Sierra Charts It offers compatibility through the DTC protocol 8:57 AM Not FIX unfortunately Does Pepperston offers already compatuibility through DTC? Or is it possible to make a request for that? Thank you. 8:58 AM we do accept 3rd party installations Support 9:00 AM I see 9:01 AM In order for me to connect my broker to Sierra, there should be the possibility to do so through the DTC Protocol I am sorry because I am not an expert about these IT matters 9:03 AM Data and Trading Communications (DTC) Protocol Server This is the documentation of Sierra about it 9:04 AM As you might guess for us traders, the trading platform is like a holy book it is critical for performance I would be glad if you could expand a bit more about compatibility through DTC and so to Sierra 9:05 AM Thank you. 9:05 AM as mentioned , we do accept 3rd party installations, however we do not provide the service for these installations as we do not provide them , yes it will be compatible, however , your service provider should help you to install them Support 9:08 AM So you allow DTC protocol 9:10 AM yes we do " It seems like they can offer compatibility. What is your view on that? Could you help? Thanks. |

There is a misunderstanding here. The only way that Pepperstone would be supported is if they support LMAX.

Dear Sierra, I don't understand. LMAX and Pepperstone are different brokers. I am sorry I am not an IT expert. What do you mean? Thank you. |

LMAX is an exchange and a liquidity provider and they would be used by brokers like Pepperstone. It would not surprise us if they are using them in the background as one of their liquidity providers currently.

i looked into LMAX recently and found their liquidity to be very thin...and therefore spreads very wide. SC why don't you create API hooks for brokers like pepperstone and ICmarkets....ctrader/MT4/5....that would open SC to big pool of traders. |
