I use Sierra to chart Bitcoin (but not trade) through Sierra.

For the last few years it's been rock-solid but since Saturday I haven't been able to connect.

I have checked the API, and then deleted the old one, and got another from Bitmex, yet it still has problems.

I gather that Sierra doesn't like to do business with Bitmex anymore due to their recent US legal problems, is that the problem?

Here are some of the logs -

Searching around the Sierra site I've found that the reason the Bitmex login doesn't work when connecting to Bitmex via Data/Trade Services Setting.

The data feed to Bitmex via Data/Trade Services doesn't seem to work so instead connect to the Bitmex feed using the SC Data - All Services.

I hope this helps everyone.

We apologize. We did not pay attention that you just needed market data. If you just need market data, then use SC Data - All Services like you have discovered.

If you are trading on BitMex and having trouble connecting to BitMex, that really is out of our control and we are not going to invest any new time with BitMex.

By the way 'Engineering', your software and data services are not always the easiest to get the hang off (there's so much and it often changes a lot) but I really appreciate all the work you do to make Sierra a damn good product.

So I'm a very happy subscriber and will continue to pay the yearly sub.

Nothing specifically, just saying it's a great program and I'm a happy subscriber, but there's a tonne of matter within the program that often takes me time to understand.

The post was basically written as a compliment!
