Amp margin for day trade ES mini is $400. On the Sierra Charts Account Balance, the Margin Requirement shows a margin of $2,000.05. Why the discrepancy?

Correction, the margin of $2,000.05 was for the E mini NQ 100 where the day trade margin is $1,000.

The Margin Requirement in the Account Balances shows $799.92 for two positions of the E-mini ES. the margin requirement through Amp is $400 per position or a total of $800. Why the discrepancy? Just trying to balance the books.

Is this something to do with Amp. Or is this something to do with Sierra Charts? I would like an answer as to where to go to figure this out. Thanks

We do not have any answer to this. The values you are referring to are not within our control and we have no knowledge about them.

So are you saying that in the Account Balances window in Sierra Charts, the Cash Balance and Margin Requirement numbers that are being generated are from my brokerage firm AMP?

We do not know the answer to that question either. We can say that in the case of the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service, that these values come from TT. We get so many reports of issues with these values that we should just simply remove them altogether.
