Hi Support, When in Sierra, I go to File > Find Symbol and I want to open a new Intraday symbol chart, Sierra always opens an intraday chart with default 15 min, and at least 6 months worth of data. I would like my intraday chart to automatically open to 1 hour and only get 20 days worth of data to save on the load time. How do I do change to these settings please? |

Refer to the information in this section and the one above it: Using Chart Templates: Setting Default Chart Settings For New Charts For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, I am still having an issue Automatically setting an intraday chart to number of days to load, even after reviewing the link you gave me: Refer to the information in this section and the one above it: Using Chart Templates: Setting Default Chart Settings For New Charts The issue is in Chart Settings is the Date Range. Right now it is set to 2020-04-29 to 2020-11-12 (current day). If in Days to download I choose 10 days, 10 days do not download but the download occurs from 2020-04-29 to 2020-11-12 which is too many days. This Date Range seems to override the Days to Load even though Use Number of Days to Load is checked. I tried changing Date Range from "2020-04-29 to 2020-11-12" to "2020-10-20 to 2020-11-12" then click on and check the box next to" Save days to Load, Intraday Bar Period, Graph Draw type as Default" but as soon as I click Apply in Chart Settings, the Date Range goes back to the previous 2020-04-29 to 2020-11-12 setting, it seems to spring back to the original condition, and I get a huge number of candles not the 10 days that I wanted. My question is how to I change the Data Range so it does not revert back as soon as I click Apply in Chart Settings? Or how to override it since choosing number of days to load does not seem to override it? |

If you want to duplicate a chart with the exact settings as another chart use the method documented here: Using Chart Templates: Duplicating Charts / Template Charts (Duplicating Charts / Template Charts) This cannot be true, unless data is still in the process of being downloaded: and I get a huge number of candles not the 10 days that I wanted.
The Number of Days to Load setting, is going to be followed but do refer to the information about it here:https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChartSettings.html#DaysToLoad Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
