When I would like to open chartbook by "open chartbook", I can see there is double files for every file. [Chartbook name].Backup2109.Cht and [Chartbook name].Cht.

I would like to see only one file and no copies. How can I disable this backup files creation ?

Those particular backups were for special releases where it would not be possible to go back to an earlier version using the same chartbook. Therefore those backups were created, just in case you needed to go back to an earlier version.

We recommend keeping them, but if you really want to get rid of them, then just delete the files. Or you can move them to another directory where they will not bother you when you open a Chartbook, but will still be available in case you need them.

Is there a way to disable backup files from auto saving to that folder though? Especially for cases when you know you won't need the backups.

If you are referring to the "Backups" folder that has the backup files for Sierra Chart, then there is not a way to turn this off.

If you are referring to the backup files in the Data folder that are referenced in the first post in this thread, then that was a "one-off" situation where we created backups due to changes in the chartbook files. If you have these files still around, then you can remove them, as they are too old now to be of use.
